Rose Shaped Apple Dessert
Summary
The roses are red and the apples are ripe, this is an absolute dessert delight.

Ingredients 
to make 6 roses:
1 frozen puff pastry sheet, thawed
2 red organic Delicious apples 
half lemon, juice
1 tablespoon of flour, to sprinkle the counter
3 tablespoons of apricot preserve
cinnamon (optional)
powder sugar for decorating (optional)

Directions:
Remove the stem and core 2 red Delicious apples.
Cut into thin slices.
In a bowl half filled with water add the juice of a half lemon with the seeds removed.
Add the sliced apples and microwave for about 3 minutes.
Drain off all of the water.

Measure 3 tablespoons of apricot preserve in a small bowl add water and microwave for 1 minute.

Unwrap one sheet of thawed puff pastry and stretch it out on a floured surface using a rolling pin.
Cut into 6 strips.
Spoon and spread each strip with apricot preserve.
Place the apple slices on the dough just over the edge slightly about an inch apart, but overlapping. 
Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Fold bottom of pastry up to meet the other edge of pastry.  
Apples will protrude approximately ½ inch over the top of the pastry edge.
Starting at one end of the strip, roll lengthwise and place into a muffin tin.
Bake at 375o F for 40-45 minutes.
Dust with powder sugar over top of apples.
Serve and enjoy with Blue Bell Vanilla Ice Cream.
