How to brown food
Trim your meat of any excess fat and place into a medium hot skillet.  To sear steaks, chicken, pork chops or roasts just place it into the skillet.  Patience is a virtue...so don't get into a hurry checking it all of the time.  LET IT COOK.  It is done when you try to pop it up using a thin metal spatula or metal fork.  This will take approximately 5 minutes on one side.  If it starts to tear when you pull up on it, it is not done...let it cook longer.

If you are using the electric skillet set it at 350o and let it preheat then put your meat into it.  Cover the chicken or pork chops if using the electric skillet.  It will take 15 minutes to brown on one side and cook through.  If you want both sides browned then turn after the 15 minutes of cooking.  It will brown on the other side faster, only a couple of minutes is needed.  If you have further questions then  contact us on the Contact US page.
